The government announced the Desenrola 2 program, one of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s key bets to improve his approval ratings. The new program has four pillars: Desenrola Families, considered the main one; Desenrola FIES; Desenrola Businesses; and Desenrola Rural. Yesterday, Congressman Arnaldo Jardim presented his report on the bill addressing critical minerals. In his report, the rapporteur established that the federal government may impose conditions and require value-added commitments in the export of minerals considered strategic. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva travels to the United States tomorrow for a meeting with President Donald Trump on Thursday. The two leaders are expected to discuss trade relations between Brazil and the United States.
