The government is expected to announce budget cuts for 2025. On Thursday, May 22, the government will release the Primary Revenue and Expenditure Assessment Report. This is the first report of the year due to the delay in Congress’s approval of the 2025 Federal Budget. Throughout the week, pressure will continue to build for the installation of the INSS CPMI. The government aims to include former president Jair Bolsonaro’s administration in the scope of the INSS CPI investigation and to secure one of the strategic positions on the committee—either the chairmanship or the rapporteurship.
