Yesterday, the government submitted a payroll tax bill to Congress. The text will replace the provisional measure (MP) that was issued in December last year and was poorly received among legislators. Pacheco also stated that he has a meeting in the next few days with Senator Leila Barros (PDT-DF) to discuss the carbon credit market bill. She is the rapporteur of the bill. Yesterday, the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha (PT), stated that President Lula (PT) is expected to meet with Senate leaders and the president of the House, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), next Tuesday, March 5. The meeting is set to be held during a “happy hour”.
