The vote on PLP 18 was stopped due to technical difficulties but will resume this morning. Changes to the text still need to be put to a vote. The measure that establishes a trigger for states to receive compensation for lost state tax revenue may change. The Senate also unanimously approved Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) 15/2022, which encourages the competitiveness of biofuels in relation to fossil fuels. The text provides for financial benefits for clean sources of energy for at least 20 years. Yesterday, the Joint Budget Committee approved rapporteur Marcos do Val's (Podemos-ES) preliminary report on the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO). The period for submitting amendments to the report begins today, June 16, and runs until next Thursday, June 23.
