The plenary of the Lower House concluded the vote on the Public Security Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) submitted by the Executive Branch. The text now moves to the Senate. Yesterday morning, the Lower House Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) approved a request by Congressman Paulo Azi (UNIÃO-BA), rapporteur of PECs 8/2025 and 221/2019 reducing working hours and ending the six-days-on, one-day-off (6x1) work schedule, to hold a series of public hearings. The Senate yesterday unanimously approved the Interim Trade Agreement between Mercosur and the European Union. The text provides for tariff reductions on 91% of products imported by Mercosur and 95% of products imported by the EU.
