The Lower House approved yesterday, February 24, the Redata bill (PL 278/26), which establishes a Special Tax Regime for Data Center Services. The measure reduces the tax burden on the deployment and modernization chain of data processing centers in the country. The House also approved the Anti-Gang bill, which toughens the fight against organized crime. Today, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) will review the injunction issued by Justice Flávio Dino ordering the suspension of public-sector salary payments that exceed the constitutional cap within the Judiciary, Executive, and Legislative branches. Yesterday, a meeting was held involving STF Justice Edson Fachin, Senate President Davi Alcolumbre, Lower House President Hugo Motta, Federal Audit Court (TCU) President Vital do Rêgo, Deputy Prosecutor General Hindemburgo Chateaubriand, STF Vice President Justice Alexandre de Moraes and reporting Justices Gilmar Mendes (ADI 6606) and Flávio Dino (RCL 88319) to address the issue of the so-called “perks”.
