The House will vote on the Provisional Measure (MP) that increases the Auxílio Brasil payments to R$ 400 through December 31. It is a risky vote for the government because there are edits suggesting an increase in the amount to R$ 600 or making the benefit permanent. Adriano Pires formally announced that he will not command Petrobras. The government needs to make a new appointment for the position. The Company Meeting to decide on the appointment will take place next week. Caio Paes de Andrade is currently the most likely name. If there is no official proposal from the government, the National Union of Employees of the Central Bank (Sinal) says its strike will be broadened. The indefinite strike, which calls for a career restructuring and salary raise of 26.3%, began on April 1.
