The government suffered another political setback: the INSS Joint Parliamentary Inquiry Committee (CPMI) approved access to confidential bank, telephone, and tax information of the president’s son, Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as "Lulinha". The session was marked by clashes between government allies and opposition members. Today, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) resumes—via its virtual plenary—the judgment of Direct Action of Unconstitutionality (ADI) No. 7,633, which challenges the payroll tax relief granted to 17 economic sectors and to municipalities. The review runs through March 6. Next week brings several key items on the political and economic agenda. The Lower House is expected to vote on the constitutional amendment proposal (PEC) on Public Security submitted by the Executive Branch.
