The income tax debate returned to the agenda due to the approval of the national nursing salary floor. The rapporteur of the income tax bill stated that he is in favor of reducing corporate taxes and the taxation of unearned profits and dividends. He would like to “downsize” the text that was approved in the House. But the fact is that a consensus still has not been reached on the bill. Among the vetoes to be reviewed by Congress is the partial veto (VET nº 36/21) of the conversion bill that modified the MP on the privatization of Eletrobras (MP nº 1.031/21). Another is the veto of PL nº 12/21, which allowed for a temporary breach on patents for the production of vaccines and medicines against COVID-19. On June 1, the highway police will join the federal police in a march toward Brasília. The objective is to apply strong pressure on the government. Billboards will be spread across Brasilia and the country.
