After strong political and popular backlash against the “Privileges Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC),” the Senate’s Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) unanimously approved Senator Alessandro Vieira’s (MDB-SE) report deeming the measure unconstitutional. Congressman Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP), rapporteur for Provisional Measure 1303, presented his report on the measure. He included in his report the creation of the Special Regime for the Regularization of Virtual Assets (RERAV), aimed at the voluntary regularization of virtual assets not declared to the Federal Revenue Service (RFB), or declared with omissions or errors, up until December 31, 2025. Regarding the bill granting an income tax exemption to individuals earning up to R$5,000 per month, the vote is scheduled for October 1 in the Lower House Plenary.
