The Senate yesterday concluded the vote on the bill that grants an income tax exemption for individuals earning up to R$5,000 per month. Since no changes were made to the version approved by the Lower House, the bill will proceed directly for presidential sanction. The Lower House completed the vote on the bill establishing a tax on audiovisual streaming services. The text will now move to the Senate. Justice Alexandre de Moraes yesterday requested a review of the Supreme Court case that will determine whether the provisions of the Elderly Statute (Law No. 10,741/2003) apply to health insurance contracts signed before 2004.
