The bill that deals with the ICMS, and Bill 1472, which creates a Fuel Price Stabilization Fund and institutes an export tax on crude oil, are listed as Items 4 and 5 on the Senate agenda, respectively. The ICMS bill originated in the House, so the deputies will have the final word. Bill 1472, on the other hand, should return to the Senate if changes are made to the text in the House. By six votes to one, the TCU approved the first stage of the privatization of Eletrobras, which consists of the economic-financial modeling for the sale of the state-owned company. The government expects the second stage to be completed in the plenary of the Court by the end of March in order to complete the operation by May. The amount allocated to the Electoral Fund was increased from R$ 2 billion to R$ 5.7 billion. Both the Attorney General's Office and the Prosecutor General's Office have expressed their support for the constitutionality of the Fund, which is expected to be confirmed.
