Today, November 16, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) will adjudicate appeals from companies regarding the breach of sentences in tax matters. In February, the Court decided that final judicial decisions in favor of taxpayers could be annulled if the Court established a different understanding of the matter at a later date. Regarding the appointment for the Prosecutor General's Office (PGR), Lula is expected to appoint someone in the next few days. Currently, the most likely candidates are Antônio Carlos Bigonha and Paulo Gonet. Bigonha is the PT's preferred name. Also today, the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp) holds a public hearing with Natália Resende, Secretary of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics, on the Sabesp privatization process.
