The Donald Trump administration revoked the visa of Brazil’s ambassador to the United States in retaliation for Brazil’s refusal last month to grant visas to two U.S. diplomats who intended to visit the country ahead of the upcoming presidential election. The Brazilian government accused the Trump administration of attempting to interfere in Brazil’s presidential election. Yesterday, Supreme Federal Court Justice Flávio Dino authorized the opening of a new investigation into Fábio Luiz Lula da Silva, known as "Lulinha", on allegations of influence peddling. This marks the third investigation into claims that the president’s eldest son acted on behalf of a group of individuals with business interests involving the federal government. Today, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro is expected to announce his vice-presidential running mate. He has struggled to attract political parties to his coalition.
