The Lower House has set the voting agenda for this week and next, before Congress recesses. One of the items is Bill 5122/2023, which addresses the renegotiation of rural producers' debts. Regarding the income tax bill, the rapporteur, Lower House President Arthur Lira (PP-AL), said he may present his report on the bill this week and that there may be a "solution" to the Financial Transactions Tax (IOF) issue. Yesterday, during a hearing at the Joint Budget Committee, Planning Minister Simone Tebet stated that the government must address the impasse surrounding court-ordered government payments (precatórios) in the second half of this year. She said she has a proposed solution, but it has not yet been discussed with the economic team.
