Today is the deadline of the Joint Committee on Tax Reform, but the rapporteur, Deputy Aguinaldo Ribeiro, has not yet submitted his report. The president of the House, Arthur Lira, said that the Tax Reform proposal will become public starting next week so that party leaders and governors will have the chance to discuss it. Today is also the last day of the suspension of the PIS and Cofins taxes on diesel, which was the government’s measure toward appeasing truck drivers who were unhappy with the rising prices of fuel. Next week, the Covid Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) is expected to summon President Bolsonaro’s former Ministers of Health, Luiz Henrique Mandetta and Nelson Teich, on Tuesday, Eduardo Pazuello on Wednesday, and current Minister of Health Marcelo Queiroga and the President of the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency, Antonio Barra Torres, on Thursday.
