Yesterday, two presidential voting polls were released, both showing similar results. A poll conducted by Meio/Ideia Big Data indicates that President Lula (PT) leads in all five tested first-round scenarios. The Gerp Institute also confirmed the polarized landscape between President Lula (PT) and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL–RJ) in the presidential race. President Lula attended a dinner last night with leaders from both the Lower House and the Senate. The President of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos–PB), was present. The meeting took place shortly after Congress approved a bill granting benefits to legislative staff, with a potential multibillion-real fiscal impact in the coming years. Today, the Joint Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPMI) on the INSS may hear testimony from the President of the National Social Security Institute (INSS), Gilberto Waller Júnior.
