US sanctions 45 Russian entities

On December 21 the Department of Commerce imposed sanctions on Russian and Chinese entities. Most of these are companies. The Russian companies are not allowed access to particular kinds of technology. The list of companies that manufacture aircraft, rocketry and nuclear energy is much longer than initially anticipated. These companies are suspected of links to the Russian Military. The SVR, Roscosmos and the Defense Ministry are on the sanctions list.The US wants American companies to consider exports more carefully lest sensitive technology end up in the hands of the Russian Military or intelligence services.
