The Odebrecht plea bargain deal will continue to have major repercussions in Brasília. To create a positive agenda, the government is expected to launch a package of eight measures aimed at job creation and economic recovery. Despite the fact that the congressional recess begins on December 23, this is the last week of legislative activity. In the Lower House, the government is trying to approve the pension reform in the Constitution and Justice Committee. The Senate may conclude analysis of the Federal Spending Amendment. On Wednesday, December 15, the STF rules on a case that could remove Fernando Pimentel from the government of Minas Gerais. The Central Bank releases its GDP preview (IBC-Br) for October.
