The South African government hosted the Jobs Summit 2018 that took place from 4th to 5th October 2018. Earlier this year (February 2018), President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his maiden State of the Nation Address (SONA), highlighting that the creation of jobs (especially for the youth) will be at the center of the 2018 national agenda. As expected, the summit brought together government, business, labour and community organisations that engaged on measures to encourage job creation.
