On February 27 the Ukrainian President met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who effectively rules Saudi Arabia due to incapacity of his father the king. The two leaders discussed the Ukraine War. Zelensky has a peace proposal that he put to the Saudis. It involves Ukrainians who were deported to Russia being allowed to come home. Zelensky said he will not negotiate with Russia until all Russian forces leave Ukraine. But his continued raising of peace proposals suggests a tacit willingness to compromise as Ukraine's military position deteriorates.  Saudi Arabia is strictly neutral and has brokered exchanges of prisoners. Putin visited Saudi Arabia in 2023.
